Writer, radio personality, speaker, trainer, and corporate salesman are all roles that the Spiritual Being named Larry Pearlman has enjoyed while having a human experience!
Larry was born in Brooklyn, NY but moved across the river to NJ when he was 2 years old before any real damage was done to the way he speaks! Raised by wonderful parents, Ruth and Jack, with an older sister, Carol, and older brother, Rob (who everyone else calls Bob), Larry grew up in a supportive environment learning respect, integrity, and self-confidence. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University where he spent four years learning that he didn’t want to be an engineer. Instead he went on to a very successful career in corporate sales, sales management, and sales training. In addition, Larry founded Creative Expressions Unlimited, a company through which he offered his services as a public speaker and corporate trainer.
At the same time, Larry was aware of a deeper meaning to life and, after moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1977 and discovering Emissaries of Divine Light, began learning and then teaching spiritual principles through Art of Living Classes, classes based on Martin Exeter’s books On Eagles’ Wings and Being Where You Are, and The Opening, an 8 day experiential course. Going beyond theory, Larry incorporated these principles into the world of corporate sales and later wrote a sales training curriculum for an international company based on these principles.
While in Phoenix, Larry hosted a radio show, Opportunities, highlighting integrity in business and featuring a news segment entitled Good News Only.
After retiring in 2006, Larry joined the Peace Corps and
served 26 months in Daboya, a small village in Ghana. Upon his return to the US, he moved to
Sunrise Ranch, an intentional, spiritual community in Loveland, Colorado where
he hosted the radio show, Evolution in Consciousness
and wrote the book, Journaling The
Journey: 25 Spiritual Insights to Light The Way.
In Feb, 2013, Larry felt the call of Spirit again, gave away everything that didn't fit in his Subaru, and hit the road again in much the same way as the journey he describes in his book. This one started, just as the 1976 journey, with a road trip to Florida. This time, Larry established residency with his brother, Rob, and sweet sister-in-law, Laura. This served the purpose of mail delivery and having an address for SSN and Medicare. Though Rob and Laura generously hosted Larry whenever he returned to "home base", he did not really live there. Rather, he followed Spirit for varying lengths of time to Costa Rica, where he facilitated 10 day Retreats with his partner Susannah, South Africa, creating programs with his friend Louise, Texas, New Zealand, Australia, numerous road trips, and New Jersey, where he spends a lot of time with his best friend Phyllis.
In 2016, he finished his second book, Journey to Bliss, which is now available at Balboa Press, Amazon, and other sites. 2017 found Larry establishing an actual address in Black Mountain, NC where he now resides.
